Desert Sanctuary – Update

In October of 2025, I had the privilege of revisiting this beautiful desert sanctuary situated in Picture Rocks, Arizona. We were lucky to have fall rains, so the normally clear blue skies were decorated by gorgeous clouds. The recent rains had also awakened the landscape. Cacti appeared fuller, desert blooms softened the terrain, and the air carried that rare freshness that only follows a desert storm. Moments like these are fleeting in the Sonoran Desert, where the light, weather, and wildlife align just long enough to transform a familiar place into something extraordinary. Photographing this oasis again felt less like documenting a location and more like witnessing a brief window of desert abundance.
